Wheel alignment
Computer four-wheel alignment. A sensor clamp goes on every wheel, and the screen reads camber, caster and toe to a hundredth of a degree.
Signs it's due
- The car drifts or pulls to one side on a straight road.
- The steering wheel sits off-centre when you drive straight.
- One edge of a tyre wears faster than the other.
- After new tyres, suspension work, or a hard hit on a pothole or speed breaker.
How it's done
The car goes up on the alignment lift with clamps on all four wheels. The angles are adjusted against the screen, then checked again before the car comes down.
Engine oil
Oil and filter changed on site, from the shelf you can see: Shell Helix, Mobil and more.
Picking the grade
Your car's handbook lists the oil it needs, such as 5W-30 or 0W-20. Bring the handbook or your last service sticker and the matching grade goes in.
When to change it
Follow the distance or date on your last service sticker, whichever comes first. If the oil warning light comes on, stop and check the level before driving on.
Wheel balancing
Each wheel goes on the balancer, spins, and gets small weights added until the readout settles.
Signs it's due
- The steering wheel shakes at highway speed.
- You feel a vibration through the seat or the floor.
- After a new tyre, a puncture repair, or a lost wheel weight.
Balancing or alignment?
Balancing stops a wheel wobbling as it spins. Alignment sets the angle the wheel meets the road. A shake usually points to balancing; a pull usually points to alignment. After new tyres, many cars need both.

Engine and mechanical work on two-post and four-post lifts, with the car up where the mechanic can see the whole underside.

An enclosed booth on site for paint and bodywork.
Why a booth
Fresh paint picks up dust and insects in the open air. Inside an enclosed booth the panel stays clean while it dries, so the finish comes out smoother.
